Do you have an overweight (or otherwise "different") child? Then you know the kind of pain a mother or father has to deal with, when people can't stop themselves from staring (and maybe even giggling)! They have no idea what kind of emotional roller coaster ride they put you on and how extremely unpleasant it is to be judged in such an unpleasant manner! 

It completely damages the child's self-esteem which can take years for the scars to heal, and it puts a lot of emotional strain on the child as well as the parents.
